Introduction

Vortix (including the services provided by products such as the App) is developed and operated by us. We place great importance on protecting users’ (hereinafter “you”) personal information and privacy. When you use Vortix, we will collect, use, store, and share the relevant personal information. 1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

How We Collect Your Personal Information

During your use of Vortix, we collect your personal information in the following ways:

1. Basic Use

To ensure the normal operation of Vortix and optimize the service experience, we collect basic information such as device model, operating system, unique device identifier (e.g., the Android ID or Advertising ID on Android devices; the IDFA identifier on iOS devices), IP address, software version number, the method, type, and status of the network you connect to, network quality data, device accelerators (e.g., gravity-sensing devices), operation logs, and service log information, etc.

2. Completion of Registration

When you register a Vortix account, we need to collect your username information to help you complete the cloud sync account registration and provide the cloud sync service normally.

3. Data Synchronization

When you use cloud services, we need to collect your current bookmarks, scripts, ad-blocking subscription rules, and project settings to support cross-device data synchronization.

4. Scanning QR Codes

When you use the QR code scanning feature, we will request camera permission. To improve scanning accuracy, we will use the device’s gravity and accelerometer sensor information to identify the device’s portrait/landscape orientation.

5. Downloading Files

When you use the download feature, we will request storage permission to save files, and request notification permission to display download progress notification(s).

6. Third-Party Extensions

To expand functionality, we collect software list information locally (stored only on the device), WebView version information, and detect available third-party downloaders/players for your selection.

7. Opening Links

When Vortix receives sharing information or you paste text, it will access the clipboard locally to extract links/keywords (it does not collect the clipboard content).

How We Use Your Personal Information

Use information as agreed for the purposes of providing services. During the service period, the information will continue to be used; after you cancel your account, it will be deleted. Statistics after de-identification may be shared (excluding identity information).

Other Rules

According to relevant laws, regulations, and national standards, the following circumstances do not require authorization or consent:

Performing statutory obligations;

National security / defense security;

Public security / public health / major public interest;

Criminal investigation / litigation, etc.;

Safeguarding major lawful interests;

Personal information subjects disclose their information themselves;

Necessary for signing or performing contracts;

Obtained through lawful publicly available channels;

Maintaining secure and stable operation of the services.

2. How We Retain Your Personal Information

We retain information for the shortest period required to achieve the purposes and for compliance with legal requirements. After the retention period expires, we delete it or anonymize it. In principle, the information is stored within mainland China. Exceptions include:

Legal provisions;

Obtaining your explicit authorization;

You actively request overseas services.

3. How We Share, Transfer, and Publicly Disclose Your Personal Information

1. Entrusted Processing

We entrust third-party service providers to provide technical and data analysis support, and they are bound by this policy.

2. Sharing

With your authorization;

As required by laws, regulations, or by directives from competent authorities.

3. Transfer

In principle, we do not transfer. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy liquidation, we will notify you and require the new holder to continue to comply with this policy.

4. Public Disclosure

Without an agreed arrangement or a legal requirement, we do not publicly disclose.

5. Exceptions

The circumstances listed in “Part I (4)” do not require authorization.

6. Other Notes

The information you voluntarily disclose is your own responsibility. De-identified data does not require additional notice.

4. How Third-Party Products or Services Obtain Your Personal Information

Vortix will not use any third-party SDKs and will not share your personal information with any third party.

5. How We Protect Your Personal Information

We take reasonable measures such as network isolation and data encryption to protect the security of information. If a security incident occurs, we will, in accordance with applicable laws, notify you of the incident details, remediation measures, and preventive recommendations through application push notifications, emails, and other means.

6. How You Manage Your Personal Information

1. Access and Correction

Through operations in [Menu] - [Settings] - [General] - [Sync].

2. Deleting Information

By canceling your account or contacting us (see Article 4).

3. Changing the Scope of Authorization

By changing device permission settings or contacting us to withdraw authorization (some features may be restricted).

4. Canceling Your Account

Through operations in [Menu] - [Settings] - [General] - [Sync] - [Cancel Account]. After cancellation, the information will be deleted or anonymized.

5. Responding to Requests

Identity verification is required. In principle, it is free of charge. Repeated/unreasonable requests may be subject to charges or rejection.

6. Exceptions

The circumstances listed in “Part I (4)” may not be able to be responded to.

7. How We Handle Personal Information of Minors

If you are under 14 years old, you need the authorization and consent of a guardian. If you are between 14 and under 18 years old, consent may be provided by a guardian or by yourself. Guardians should pay attention to how minors use the service. If you have any questions, please contact us through official channels.

8. How This Privacy Policy Is Updated

The updated content will be published on the page. For major changes (such as changes to the service model or changes in how rights are exercised, etc.), we will notify you in a prominent manner. Without your consent, we will not reduce your rights.

9. How to Contact Us

If you have any questions or complaints, please contact us through the official channels designated by us. In general, we will respond within fifteen working days.
